Agreed, and when I say Hearns stunned him, I really mean to say he stung him.

Maybe only buzzed him, and that's all many levels below rocked or hurt.

Tommy was in big trouble the second that bell rang and he never stood a chance.

NO. Hagler would always have the chin and dertermination to take Hearns down.

        Never, didn't have the chin.

1 in a 100 puncher's chance, but even that's pushing it with Hagler's steel chin.

Hearns' only chance would be to keep moving all night, but Hagler was too good at cutting off the ring.

I think he deserved another shot at him but I do not see the result changing. Marvin seemed to be awed at the events of fighting name fighters such as srl and duran but disliked Tommy and showed him no respect.

You may be the only person that has ever said that.

I think hearns had a shot if they rematched in 87,, instead of hagler-srl, if we had hearns-hagler 2, i think tommy would have boxed from the beginning, and age had overcame hagler, so i think hearns had a great chance to outbox him for a decision, as hagler no longer had that extra gear to kick it up a notch and take guys out,,,,

I honestly think that the hearns fight took alot out of hagler, even though he won,,, I dont think he was ever the same after takiing tommy's shots,,, Hagler had alot of mileage and age and fights on his record, and SRL timed the fight perfectly, i think if hearns had fought that version of hagler, hearns could win a decision,,, that is the only plausible scenario i see hearns winning,,,

                  No, I don't think so.

He isn't knocking him out and I can't see Hearns going the full 15 without being stopped.
                  What ^^^ he said.

I mean if he would have boxed him perfectly for 15 rounds, but that's just not possible.

I believe Hearns could win a lot of rounds if he boxed but Hagler would have caught up with him eventually. At the time I believe Hearns was sure he could have knocked everybody out. He was pretty close to being right but not against Hagler.

hearns came real close to gettin him in that first round. had hagler rocked in there but story goes that he broke his hand so its possible that for hearns to hurt hagler he'd break his hand and thats about the only way hearns would even hav a shot- by early ko so no but still both great fighters
