When and why did George Foreman stop commentating?

I rather enjoyed the fights he called, despite some of the silly things he'd say at times. He obviously knows a lot about the sport and he it is fun to listen to him. When and why did he quit?

He quit after the Morales-Chavez fight. He wanted to stop traveling with HBO for their broadcasts and spend time with his family. He came back for the 1st Peter-Wlad fight though.

he didn't get along well with anybody at HBO

and as good as he looks, he's getting up there
those guys work hard as hell, especially on the day of a big fight. i imagine they are about as busy as you can get a few weeks out of the year
and that wears on you if you're older

and he certainly doesn't need the coin
he's a brilliant businessman by boxing standards

Like New England said, George could be difficult to work with. And most likely he felt that he had so much money from the grill deal that he didn't have to work on a regular basis anymore.

Did George commentate the Wlad/Haye fight, or did he just partake in the intro? I thought he commentated that fight but I don't remember.

He's enjoyable but a lot of the stuff he would say would be flat out wrong. Listen to the difference between him and Roy Jones. Often times, they would have exactly the opposite take on a subject and 9/10, Roy would be right.

Foreman was part of a pre fight skit used for Wladimir's ring walk, but he wasn't part of the HBO announcing team.
