    Tyson vs Douglas II

Lets say that Tyson got a immediate rematch with Douglas, how do people think that fight would of played out? Do people here actually think that Tyson could of improved in that time to beat Douglas?

Off topic: Lets assume that Douglas comes prepared for that fight, not in the same sorry state he fought Holyfield in

I believe if the Tyson who walked to the ring Vs Spinks is the same one in the ring with Douglas in a rematch, Tyson wins.

He was with Rooney for that fight, he never got that kind of form back. I'm thinking he goes into the ring with the same form he had against Ruddock, more determined but technically a head hunter

Douglas knew lightning wasn't going to strike twice. He was never in for a return fight.

Agreed. As talented as he was, Buster was never going to beat Tyson like that again. I don't see any way he could inspire himself to make a repeat performance.

Tyson would crush him if they had a rematch. I'd have to assume that the loss would make him actually train this time around.

Tyson while on the slide had a real bad night that evening and could only do better, he'd know Douglas was a serious threat. Buster on the other hand while a decent fighter would have very little chance of fighting at that level again, he fought the fight of his life that night totally inspired. Tyson KO win in a rematch garuenteed

Even with all the help from Don King beating Douglas would have been hard for Tyson in a rematch, he had self destructed. Putting the pieces back together would be hard.

Ruddock was way better than Buster and Mike delt with him tho. I think Douglas had his one night of inspired greatness, being the Huge Underdog, the challenger to Iron Mike Tysons HW crown and what with his mum and all. After that it was all down hill and even the piss poor version of Mike that showed up against Buster at his best nearly pulled it off with that uppercut

Douglas was an underrated fighter. pretty strong guy, not a bad offensive arsenal, very good jab.

his problem was motivation. He trained his ass off for the Tyson fight, and it showed since he looked so much better than in other fights. combine that with Tyson complete screwing around prior to the fight(his corner in particular was just awful), and it was a recipe in disaster.

Douglas would have ballooned up 15lbs like he did against Holyfield, Tyson would have actually trained a bit this time around.
                    end result: Tyson early KO.
