So in the absence of quality opponents you fall back on "they're big"? :rolleyes9:

Not exactly. The age and condition of Rocks opponents bother me more than their size.
Jersey Joe was KO'd by Abe SImon and Joe Louis in the 40's. He had no business even existing in Marciano's era yet he ended up being one of Rock's toughest fights.
Rock's 3 best wins were all older than Lennox's oldest opponent.
Half of Lennox's opponents have their own highlight reels on Youtube. You look up David Tua, Morrison, Tyson, or Klitschko, all devastaing ko artists in their own right and you realize that Lennox beat them all.
Marciano never fought anyone as big as the true heavyweights above. Who did Marciano beat that wasnt a bloated LHW or past prime?
One of Lennox best wins is to a bulked up 190 pound man. But it was ruled a draw lol. And the seconed fight was ruled a win for Lewis it was close though and I thought Evander won. You think small fighters are not as good as big fighters but you think Evander bulked up and weighing far less the Lennox was a good win. Meanwhile you think the guys that Marciano beat were not good wins because they did not fight at heavyweight their entire careers although they were about the same size as Marciano.

Walcott was a crafty fighter who would give anyone problems even when he was past it. Aren't you the same person that counts B-Hop as a great win for Calslappy?

I agree with you that smaller fighters can be more difficult, but smaller fighters never came close to hurting Lennox.
If Lennox only fought guys under 230lbs he wouldve never been knocked down in his career.

You also have to take into consideration the very real possibility that Holyfield juiced to get his size up to heavyweight, where as fighters like Moore and Charles most certainly didn't. It begs the question, would Evander have been as effective if he had been fighting 15lbs lighter at heavyweight?

He may well have been faster. That's not an advantage to be taken lightly.
Fighters over 205 I'm pretty sure could drop Marciano (and KO him):
George Foreman
Earnie Shavers
Sonny Liston
Muhammed Ali
Mike Tyson
Joe Frazier
Cleveland Williams
Joe Louis
Max Baer
ect.
ect.

I agree.
Marciano was not threatened by any of the small LHWs moving up. They posed no immediate physical danger to him. The guys on your list would all give him problems.
