      B. Leonard is quite a bit greater in my opinion.

Benny Leonard was considered the p4p GOAT until well into Ray Robinson's later career.....That should give you an idea of just how good he was.

Poor Ray Leonard. Not the greatest Ray or the greatest Leonard.

Most will probably rank Benny higher. In a fight though (lets say at 140 with modern rules and gloves) Ray would unquestionably have to be favored - larger, probably faster, and a bigger puncher.

Agree with Tengoshi's take. The ****** Wizard deserves to be ranked the greater fighter historically, but Sugar Ray would likely win a catchweight fight.

True words. But to hell with the sympathy bit.

Conman Leonard could have been rated higher though if he was as good as his fans think he was. But that would have required giving Hearns an immediate rematch (or at least within a few years) and Duran an immediate trilogy (no grace period here), plus fighting Hagler before he slowed down.

If by some miracle he still could end up with a draw (a real one this time, not a gift), a win, and a win, Ray Ray would have a case. As it stands, Benny all the way.

I don't like R. Leonard for the way he used all advantages he could get and all the ways to hinder an opponent. Bitter about Hagler obviously
There's no denying the quality of his resume though even with his lack of fights.
