did Duran make Leonard fight his fight in montreal?

Its been a helluva long time since i saw it, but i believe that to be the case more so than Leonard fighting the wrong fight, Leonard was never what you would call a safety first defensive fighter, he liked to let his hands go in combination most of the time, rather than pot shot and move consistently for the whole fight, like what a Mayweather does, of coarse he has done that, but only when its called for it, besides, adopting those tactics in certain fights probably came as a result of that Duran fight IMO. There is a point in the Duran-Leonard fight where Duran nails Leonard with a good counter that hurts Ray, now i believe that broke up Ray's rhythm, and once Duran smelled blood, Leonard was never going to keep him at bay with jab and move tactics, after that he found it hard to establish his rhythm and just became more and more embroiled in a fight.
