Liston breaks him down and wins a decision and possible K.O imo.
Liston would of frustrated him all night long with his jab and would of been happy to trade with George if he had too which I give the upper hand to George in but Liston could of dealt with it for awhile imo, both had great chins but I give a slight advantage to Liston as George was knocked down by Lyle and Young (I'll admit that George was mentally not the same in them fights as 73/74 which may have contributed to the KDs but he was closer to prime then Liston was when he was KO by Martin).
Possible KD on each side, more likely for Liston though to open George up with his jab and too just punish him, George was a master at cutting off the ring at that point and bullying his opponents which worked superbly on Ali and other softer hitters but Listons hard jab would be able to keep his distance and allow him to control the fight.
Too beat Liston you need to be a mover, somewhat elusive and be able to out jab him, Foreman's jab was decent but not good enough imo he wouldn't have enough tools to deal with Liston.
Foreman has a punchers chance if they brawl but so does Liston, both great chins both great punchers.
George Foreman by way of his usual Massacre. He would have been afraid of Liston like he was of Frazier :yep: , and would have ended the fight in the same manner or probably a clean KO , after all , Ali did twice , and there was no one Ali fought whom Foreman did not beat much worse , except of Young , whom caused problems to both of them . Liston could not handle such a big man with a fine punch resistance and big punching power , plus , as opposed to boxrec , CBZ , etc , Liston's effective punching range would have been smaller than Foreman's .
