The man started his career in 1969 and stopped KOing people by 1975...that sound like an ATG to you? Factor in how a lot of his decision victories were MD/SD against relative unknowns too.
His record in world title fights is 15-2-1. 6 of the 15 wins were MD/SD. Video footage of his fight with the tall but ordinary Vibonchai is below, he won by SD:

It's actually pretty safe to say the man never KOed a world class fighter ever. He got those 15 KOs early in his career because they were trash to C level fighters. Even Willie Pep KOed world class fighters here and there...after the plane crash too.Comment
