If it's okay, I'd like to add the names of some female boxers that have gone undefeated as well:
Laila Ali 24-0, 21 KOs
Natascha Ragosina 22-0, 13 KOs
Michelle Aboro 21-0, 12 KOs
Jenifer Alcorn 18-0, 11 KOs
Lucia Rijker 17-0, 14 KOs
Giselle Salandy 17-0, 6 KOs

Wow great thread! good to have a knowleagable poster in the section.
This thread reminds me of a course that used to be taught at St. John's ******* Arts college Annapolis Md. It was a course that described some very intelligent, well thought out theories regarding major leaps of knowledge in history. These theories had one thing in common: they were wrong! But never the less they hardly seemed in any sense epistemologically inferior. Some of them even led to the truth eventually uncovered.
We often see guys (and Anthony's list...women) who are talented and able but the cards they were not in! In the case of women it is often a lack of comp....though Ali's daughter did duck Ann Wolf. But some of the guys off this list may have been the real deal.

The Ring recently published an article about how important the '0' has become today. Because, an undefeated fighter is the obvious pick to launch for promoters, for TV companies.
But, it can also mean that the fighter has been overprotected.
The article compared today’s situation with that of 50 years ago. Then the '0' didn’t have any significance. If a talented boxer had a couple of losses on his record, it usually meant he had been in there with some tough dudes instead of ducking them, which improved his status.
Though, I like this thread. A lot of work behind it.
