21 years and two days ago.....

Lennox Lewis and Vitaly Klitschko had a 6 round war. Klitschko was set to fight Cedric Boswell on the undercarriage, but when Kirk Johnson was injured Lewis pick the toughest available fight, and arguably the toughest fight of his career before retiring and sailing into the sunset. Klitschko redeemed his image after quitting against Byrd and never avenging that defeat, and Lewis showed why he is an all time great with his ability to come back against and stop the younger stronger fighter. Both earned heaps of respect that night.

    - - Regurgitating U hogwash again, eh? Anyone who followed boxing then knows that after Vit won his 3rd lawsuit against Lewie's ducking, Lewie invited him to replace Tyson who could see the sham of this promotion stuck on the undercard when he should've been the headliner, so he quit the fight Hence Vit accepted the invitation to fight Boz in a 10 round fight on 3 wks notice, but then Johnson hurt he tltty to quit the fight, and Vit accepted the invite to fight Lewie on 2 weeks notice.

Net result Lewie sailed into the sunset after ditching his planned lucrative 5 more defenses a day before the WBC was due to strip him of his last belt. Lewie never defended his unified title. All this was hashed out on AOL eons ago whilst U still in U BarneyBigBoys...

Can you provide any proof to these 3 lawsuits won by Vits? You can't. Can you provide any proof Vits accepted the Boswell fight on 3 weeks notice? Probably not. Can you provide any proof Johnson (faked) injury as you're insinuating to get out of fighting Lewis? Of course you can't. You are making things up again because the facts pain you. Tsk, tsk.....so sad.

So Lewis took the match under that pressure because VK was available.

Cut or lose gloves tape? I dunno, but fight news reported on it. An illegal back hand by Lewis which landed just before the cut in the eye region? Yep. 100% certain that happened. A clash of heads just prior to the cut? Yep Lewis top of the head came into contact with Vitali's eye region. You can look at the video and judge for yourself to decide. Frankly of convincing the deniers of what happened.

Lewis won on cuts down 4-2 oval three cards, and was passed at the time of the stoppage. There was a need for a re-match, Lewis said he'd give one but was full f &#^t.

Again judge his words for yourself.

Queenie claimed 3 lawsuits won for Vits against Lewis. That is false. If he was suing and never went anywhere with it, it's irrelevant. As far as the cuts go, it been proven to be from punches. The whole tape thing has been debunked again and again, and is a ridiculous conspiracy theory created by those that can't accept he lost fair and square. And what does it matter if he was down 4-2? It was a twelve round fight, and he won by TKO6.

How is it proven the cut was solely caused by punches?

Lewis was down 4-2, gassed, and said he would give the re-match. Did he?

The suit is irrelevant because one, it was against the WBC, not Lewis. Two, it was dropped, becoming a nonfactor. In other words irrelevant. There were never 3 lawsuits won by Klitschko to force Lewis to do anything. This is a fact. Lennox fought and beat Vits, these facts remain true more than 20 years later.

I don't need to prove the punches were caused by punches. But let's objectively look at the evidence. Lewis punched Vits, Vits bled. There were no point deductions for anything illegal. No broadcast in any language I know of tried to make a claim the cuts were caused by anything other than punches during or after slow motion replay. It is clear to see. You're making the claim about tape, headbutts and dreadlocks, not me. The onus is on you and other conspiracy theorists. Not even the Klitschko camp made such ridiculous claims.

Lewis had earned the right to retire and didn't owe Vits anything. He was down 4-2 in a 12 round fight.... so what? What does that prove? He won, fair and square. And please get off that whole said he would give a rematch thing. Vits quit against Byrd, grabbed the mic after doing so telling the crowd he was sorry and would get his belt back. Did he? Did he ever even try? The difference is Byrd and Vits were ranked alongside one another for several years and Vits never went calling. But somehow you want to make it a black mark against Lewis for retiring, and staying retired. If Lewis had come back and fought other fights not giving Vitty a rematch I'd agree with you 100%. But again, it is an inescapable fact that this did not happen.

BTW Vitali was pre-prime, and took the fight on two weeks notice.
What determines "pre prime"? And both took the fight on two weeks notice. Both were scheduled to fight different opponents on the same card. Vits also claimed he had been preparing for Lewis for the past year.
