Right but 180 pounds isn't considered heavyweight anymore lol. Also the last time I checked Muhammad Ali, Prime George Foreman, Ken Norton, Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko ect weren't fat.

But anyway kid 180 pounds wasn't good enough to be a heavyweight since the early 1960's.

Even Ali,Prime-Foreman and Mike Tyson were in a weight range they are trying to take out the heavyweight division 200-220 lb.Rocky Marciano defeated guys at 185lb that were 220+. Like it or not he was considered a heavyweight and defeated great heavyweights that were 200lb+. My list was simply for any boxer that fought in the heavyweight division regardless of their weight.

Lol touching story. Rocky Marciano never beat a world class boxer who was 225 pounds. George Foreman also weighed 230 pounds as a teenager and lost weight to get down to as low as 212.

Second 180 pound is still not a heavyweight by modern standards which means Rocky Marciano, Gene Tunney ect weren't heavyweights by modern standards. Also why am I trying to explain anything to some biased Rocky Marciano fanboy.

But the conversation is who are the best heavyweights of all time not who would be good in this modern era and if we are being honest most of these modern heavyweights would just be huge punching bags to most boxers prior to the 2000's.Rocky defeated 3 notable great heavyweight boxers jersey joe,Ezzard Charles and Joe Louis what other heavyweight got that many notable names on their resume.

Heavyweight was anything above 175 then. So it doesn't matter what you think and it doesn't matter if he never fought a guy the size of heavyweights today. Fighters greatness is based on what they did in their own era, not some make believe fight where you imagine the outcome. And Maciano accomplished much more the nearly all the giant heavyweights that have been around more often the last 30 years.

Ali has Frazier, Norton, Liston and Foreman....and he would be small by today's standards as well. Greatness isn't make believe fights and it's not how big you are. It's what a fighter did in the time he actually fought. Fantasy fights are fun, but the prove absolutely nothing.

Great but this isn't the 1950's. So what worked back then doesn't work now. So again because these people were considered heavyweights back then doesn't mean they could compete against heavyweights now. The list is greatest heavyweights of all time. Now which heavyweight was good for their era. It is like saying George Mikan was better than Shaquille O'Neal, David Robinson, or Hakeem Olajawon because Mikan was considered great in his era. Mikan couldn't even make a college team today. The skill level of basketball has evolved.

Lol Rocky Marciano wasn't even good for his own era. He was a Italian guy who had the mafia's backing so they hand picked his opponents and had him fight tomato cans, mob controlled fighters and old men. But again you are a Rocky Marciano fanboy so I won't even try to disgust boxing with people who so biased. I am not going to respond to you again.

I am anything but a Rocky Marciano fanboy im just a realist and when you add everything up Rocky can’t be below top 3. Never heard anything about his MobTies( not denying it) send me a link with that info. What works now in the heavyweight division wouldn’t work prior to the 2000’s the heavyweights today are just simply HUGE most of them aren’t skilled and many of them started Boxing after 20. Heavyweights prior to the 2000’s were more skilled and athletic. You just supported my argument whether you like it or not George Mikkan is considered great a top 50 great in basketball if he could be considered a great in basketball and basketball progressed after he played why can’t Rocky be considered great ? If Heavyweight boxing has regressed

Not responding to me is probably the smartest thing you can do. But you will respond again because you crave the attention.

Did you somehow see Mikan play these other guys in their primes? If not you are only guessing who would win. That is why we judge on what was achieved in their own era's and accomplishments. But you're much to dense to understand this, aren't you?

Lol most heavyweights today aren't huge, they are fat. if you mean their heights, there are been tons of 6'5 heavyweights since the 1970's. Second the heavyweight division is worse compared to the top heavyweights from the 1970's, 1980's, 1990's and early 2000's. But these guys are still heavyweights while Rocky Marciano was a 5'10 180 pound fighter. So even the worst heavyweights now would beat Rocky Marciano. Third Rocky Marciano isn't a all time great heavyweight because he isn't a heavyweight by modern standards. 4th Even if you were comparing him to other 180 pound boxers he wouldn't be all time great. Rocky Marciano's best opponents were a old Archie Moore, A old Joe Louis, A old Ezzard Charles and a old Jersey Joe Walcott. When you best wins are against old men then you can't be considered great or even good. 5th there is a thing called the internet. You could find that Rocky Marciano's career was controlled by the mob and the fact that you didn't know this pretty much shows you aren't a real boxing and that you only like Rocky Marciano for a obvious reason. 6th I will now longer respond to any person who is a biased Rocky Marciano fan.
