Well yes, he is no Fighting Harada or anything alike, it was just good to see him in that first Sahaprom fight, and imo he wasnt an elite when he stepped in with Zaragoza he's the one who made it clear after that it was all courage with tatsuyoshi.

Well, yes, but Sahaprom was a very, very special fighter. Could have been one of the ATG's, and I mean true ATG's, if he hadn't started so late. If he had started as a teenager instead of in his mid twenties, nearly thirty, can you imagine how good he would have been?

Anyway, Sahaprom is an ATG already, just a lower tier kind of one. One of the greatest BW's ever in my opinion. Great offense mixed with beautiful defense. Really great to watch. Very natural fighter.

Glad somebody mentioned Sahaprom.. He's a big time hero out here..
There's some extremely good fighters in Thailand, but due to corruption, there's a shortage of rich people to sponsor them.. Because of this stranglehold, it's only the big corporate companies, that can afford to do this.. In some cases, the fighter has to change his name to that of the sponsor.. One poor sod, & a sound world champion to boot was a certain Megadon 3K Battery lol.. No wonder, they don't get the reconition!

Geez!... If I had the wonga, thre'd be a little coffee coloured mickey malone, right up there with the very best of em!

I wouldn't say he was the greatest Japanese fighter, but I'm surprised nobody mentioned Ohba Masai who was flyweight champion between 70 & 73..
Like Salvador Sanchez, he was an undefeated world champ, who was also killed in a car crash..

Masao Ohba from the few fights I have seen of him was a very workmanlike fighter, he wasn't very fast or powerful but he got the job done and he had to get off the floor to win a few fights. He did very well with his career with the tools he was given.

It never set well with me that Galaxy gets all of the praise he gets but an excellent Thai fighter like Sahaprom gets looked over, in the same line of thinking Khaokor gets passed over too much for his brother as well.

Agreed.. I don't think he'd have become an ATG, but was still a very good fighter.. Trust me to get his name, arse about face lol..
