To Wit: there is nary a single Benitez in the record of any weight class better than Canelo. None even close, but maybe if U recall U mamas for more nursing U genii wannabes will be able to collectively figure it out.

The best version of Benitez at 154 was vs Hearns, hes got legs better than Lara and could probably expose Canelo pretty easily. Benitez was a great fighter with terrible training habits and an up and down career because of it. He never fought above 154 so above that I suppose Canelo.

At 154 Benitez wins. Canelo struggled with Lara and arguably received a gift decision--Benitez is ranked much higher than Lara. Even Cotto at the CW title fight gave a great showing of himself despite being the much smaller man in the ring that night. Benitez was a big 154 at almost 6' tall and great defensive skills.

I personally view this in the same way. Canelo also had issues with Trout and had some trouble with Cotto.
