I think Ray takes a comfotable UD. This is a weight where Robinson is at the height of his abilities, where as whitaker is not. Sugar just has to much for a 147lb version of Pea, in my opinion.

Sweet pea can't handle a mover as tall as Robinson

Robinson by UD or late round KO.

        tnx for the input guys...

i just recently bought a career set of pea & he was mesmerizing in his prime...

the version of pea who fought de la hoya was quite over the hill but he still made a prime de la hoya sometimes look foolish...

i just started wondering what if it was a prime pea in the ring against the consensus greatest ever...

it would be definetly be Sugar ray robinson coz sweet pea can evade punches very well but it all comes down to timing and very few fighters have good timing to land punches but Sugar ray had PERFECT timing.

Robinson woulnd't have it all his own way, but he would come away with the victory here. Whitaker was past his true best at 147, were Ray was virtually unbeatable and in the prime of his career.

There is no douting Whitaker's prime was 135, were he ranks along side Gans, Duran, Leonard etc. But at 147, He may have still been a brillant fighter, but not as good as he once was.

But by no means is Whitaker a push over at 147, but I feel Robinson, could use his strength, match Whitaker for skill, and would take home a 15UD, with Whitaker getting dropped along the way, but Whitaker is always in the fight and even do Robinson comes out the winner it's a pretty close affair.

(Do at 135 this fight is even more interesting)
