Montell Griffin in the first fight and Eric Harding gave Roy tougher fights than Lou De Valle did.

Spinks was a monster when he was LHW champ. Arguably the best fighter in the best era of the LHW's. I'd favor him over RJJ for sure.

Take a style just as frustrating as Griffin's, add a much larger frame, a very solid chin and a massive punch in either hand and you have Michael Spinks, a damn difficult fighter to beat at 175. I don't think Spinks would beat Roy easily, but I do think he would win. The scenario I currently favour is a come-from-behind KO for Spinks.

micheal spinks did'nt even have a jab, he just threw powershots and he was slow, jones would've picked him apart, and that lanky stature would'nt have helped against a body puncher like jones

I never said he fought like Griffin, I said his style was just as frustrating to fight against.
The other ace for Spinks is he'd have Eddie Futch in his corner. Futch devised the ring strategies for the only two men to beat a near-prime Muhammad Ali (and incidentally was also in Griffin's corner when he beat Jones). It's perfectly possible he'd do the same with Jones, and Spinks had all the attributes to carry it out to the letter.

if you did'nt see the entrance and heard what the commentators had to say which was roy jones said he'd be patient in the fight, which later on proved to be right, jones was going easy on griffin
yea griffin beat jones, and got knocked out in that same fight too, makes sense
