Humanity, as rule, long ago figured out that brains not brawn was the key to a better life. Exactly! I don't like Toney, I'm certainly no fan; but I have to give the guy credit: He's honed his skills to the point where he can beat guys much bigger than himself and at an age when he should be retired.

Jersey Joe had a great counter right hand (mostly showcased against Louis who was always open for the punch) but the left hook/uppercut he KO'd Ezzard Charles with is still my favorite:



He pulled it off so effortlessly, as if he had trained and prepared for it.

The payoff of over 20 years of work with many ups and downs.
