** You could go on all day about something as general and immeasurable as those categories on just jab alone. So many different styles serving different purposes, but I'd put in Tyson with jabbers as his whole style at his best was based on jabbing his way inside and who can forget him out jabbing a very good jabber in 6-5 Tony Tucker.

I've been greatly impressed with the different ways Wlad uses his jab, from his intimidating early offensive days where it was the blunt force instrument of choice, to his post KO losses where he's found a widely disparaged use as a defensive weapon, knocking down the lead hand of his opponent, which wears him down and forces him to reset.

Vitali even showed a snappier jab in his comeback, and since 90% of his offense is 1-2s, got to give him a shout for a jab and right hand that seldom miss, maybe the most accurate in history. Wlad also has the sportiest little left hook off the jab I've ever seen. Don't know why he doesn't use it as much, probably just too defensive oriented these days.

Running back into time, when was the last time anyone saw something like Willards leaping counter right hand that dropped Johnson like he'd be shot dead. That must've sounded like that left hand Tarver caught Roy with, a shot of a lifetime kind. That Willard pulled it off after 27 rds and was something of a reluctant warrior, basically wearing the cuffs after a couple of ring deaths attributed to him, is remarkable enough without the footage showing the athleticism.

Foreman also had a great jab he seldom pulls out in his prime. It was his choice in his comeback and the way big strong heavies got knocked back when it landed was a real treat to watch. Check out the Cooper fight where he's on the verge of knocking Cooper out by knocking Cooper's own fists into his face before Cooper quits. A year or so later Cooper almost knocks Holy out but lacked the finishing touch. Foreman clowned him.

In terms of power, Foreman has a better uppercut than Liston. Lewis has a better straight than Foreman IMO also. Jab I have Holmes at no.1. Although the right hook isn't really a punch, and is often reffered to as a "right hand" Both Foreman and Tyson had devistating right hands.
