I remember Joe Hipp fighting Tommy Morrison. I think Hipp broke Morrison's jaw early in that fight, but Tommy hung tough and ended up beating Hipp.

I seem to remember Hipp was a tough fighter, but never could get past the top guys.

Duran is part native; Baldomir looks to be but I don't know his story. And I'm sure Barrera isn't pure Spanish.

            - -Danny and Ernie both raised on an Ute reservation.

Joe Louis part Cherokee and Dempsey used to put fear in his opponents for reputed Indian ancestry.

LH champ Virgil Hill NA ancestry. Plenty of club fighters and fringe contenders to remember.

              Marvin Camel.
In Montana there is at least one promotional company that focuses on Native American boxers and MMA fighters. And amateur boxing is pretty popular on many reservations.

Injun Yaqui Lopez was one of the greatest light heavies of all time. All the champs would be injuns, but they know they cannot get a fair shake from whitey.

There are few. Joe Hipp, a cult fan favorite was native American, and the first one to go for a heavyweight title.

Danny "red" Lopez was a vey good lower weight fighter. Give him a watch sometime, he's an exciting fighter.

Was gonna mention Lopez since I remember someone that used to post here had his Sports Illustrated cover photo as his avatar, so he must have been a big name at one time.
