    Floyd Mayweather Jr.

How good is he really? On the scope of pound-4-pound guys in the lighter weightclasses, is he worth mentioning?

Personally, I find him a little bit...rushed. He jumps weight classes quickly, squeaks out some wins, and now plans on retiring at the age of 30. Is he ducking the inevitable?

    Your thoughts?

Well, I know there are a few guys who have mentioned wanting to fight him (Mosley, Pac-man, etc.), but he has made it very clear that he wants to retire after his May 5th bout with De La Hoya.

Haha, he CAN'T Retire. He says he's the best EVER!! at the minute he is nowhere near.

He NEEDS to beat Oscar,Cotto, Mosley and Hatton to really prove his greatness. He talks about being 'THE BEST'. If he was he'd prove it and make these great fights and beat the best fighters out there at the minute. Not retire and leave these results unknown.

Im not doubting he's got the talent and skills to be an all time p4p'er but i think over the last few years hes gone backwards instead of forwards which has got to harm his status when he retires. Its good to see hes again fighting boxers of the calibre he fought at lightweight in de la hoya. I hope if he wins he doesnt retire because he there are some great fights for him at welter which really could seal his greatness.

if he wins against dlh, the amount of money he could get in a super fight against hatton (if he beats castillo) would be too much for him to turn down.

Floyd isn't retiring after the De La Hoya fight.

Especially if he wins in impressive fashion.

You want to see floyd lose, put him against a relentless swarmer, thats the style that beats him. Club fighters like gatti and baldi are not going to get the job done.
