The future of boxing will be on hand and in the ring on Saturday, June 26th, as former WBO world super featherweight champion “Mighty” Mike Anchondo hosts a charity event at The Jerry Ortiz Boxing & Youth Fitness Gym in El Monte, California.

The all-amateur show begins at 1pm, and there will be food and drinks available for purchase.  Admission is $5, and kids 12 and under are admitted free. All proceeds go to the maintenance and upkeep of the Jerry Ortiz Boxing Program. The program and the gym celebrate the memory of El Monte’s Ortiz, a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy who was killed in the line of duty in 2005.
