WHEN: SATURDAY, AUGUST 14, 2010, 4 PM PST/7 PM EST
Where: LIVE ON USTREAM AT
This Saturday, One Step Productions, in association with moviesmusicmayhem.com, presents the premiere of “Fighter vs. Writer,” an offbeat video game talk show where professional fighters take on Gabriel Montoya, Maxboxing.com writer and co-host of krikya360.com’s official radio show , in a battle of skill and will known as “EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 4.” The fight will be broadcast live on ustream.com at .
The main event is co-hosted by actor/writer/producer Mark Richardson. Color commentary will be provided on a rotating guest announcer basis and will feature Maxboxing.com’s Steve Kim among others.
Episode one color commentary will be provided by WBO NABO lightweight champion John Molina Jr.
Our first match-up pits Gabriel “The Cooler” Montoya (0-0 with 0 KOs) vs.“The Contender” star and middleweight contender Ishe “Sugar Shay” Smith (21-5 with 9 KOs) in a 15-round middleweight bout fought under the rules of the Virtual Gaming Commission; no standing eight-count, no three-knockdown rule, and you cannot be saved by the bell in any round including the 15th and final round.
Should Montoya pull off the upset, his pride remains intact and his campaign in the virtual middleweight division continues to move upward and onward.
Should Smith win, he gets not only bragging rights but to conduct the post-fight interview; torturing Montoya with the inane post-fight questions all professional fighters have been subjected to for years by bumbling writers who have never played the game.
During the show, fans can log onto our social stream chat room and share their thoughts and questions via your Twitter, Facebook, AIM and/or Yahoo Messenger accounts.
In anticipation of the bout, Smith will be a guest this Thursday August 12, 2010 on at 5-8 PM PST/8-11 PM EST.
We invite you to join us in launching this groundbreaking new show that brings the fighters to the fans and makes the writer put his money where his big mouth is.
