(CORONA, Calif.) - Bang!

A Teddy Atlas catch-phrase is how the last bout of the 'Friday Night Series' ended.

A hard right hand by Andrey Fedosov exploded down onto Donovan Dennis, dropping him to the canvas and ultimately stopping him in the eighth round before a boisterous crowd on a cold night at the Omega Products International.

Not only was the Fedosov-Dennis bout the last in the 17 year series, but Fedesov was crowned the Boxcino heavyweight champion.

Fedosov was the favorite going into the tournament and blasted through his first two opponents. Dennis looked as though he would be a stern test for the Russia-born fighter, considering he also breezed through his quarter and semi-final bouts.

Both had their moments in the first two rounds, as the southpaw Dennis was able to land left hands to the head. Undaunted, Fedosov waited to counter Dennis, at times setting those punches up with a jab.

Fedosov hit pay dirt in the third round when he landed a right cross that dropped Dennis to the canvas. Dennis looked stunned, but was able to make a comeback later in the round.

Dennis had his moments in the middle rounds. He was able to feint a jab or a lead left hand, then followed those up with more left hands to the head. The rally was short-lived as Fedosov swung momentum back in his direction, hurting Dennis with a barrage of punches in the seventh round.

Throughout the history of 'Friday Night Fights,' color commentator Teddy Atlas would provide a fight plan, where he would yell out 'Bang' whenever he would throw a punch. That phrase seemed to echo out when Fedosov went in for the kill in the eighth round.

The end came in the eighth round when Fedosov dropped Dennis with an overhand right cross to the head. Dennis stood up on wobbly legs, prompting referee Thomas Taylor to stop the bout at 54 seconds.

Along with the Boxcino title, Fedosov also earns a top-10 ranking.

"I was waiting for the counter and finally I got it," Fedesov said after the fight. "It's a big value for me, but bigger for my family. I'm going home tomorrow to Russia and I'm hoping to get a big fight soon."

Fedosov goes to 28-3, 23 KOs, while Dennis falls to 14-3, 11 KOs.
