French EuroProm will stage the rematch for the still vacant EBU welterweight title between Frenchman Jordy Weiss (30-0-1) and Spaniard Jon Miguez (17-0-1).
EuroProm bid 38,000 Euro at the purse bids today in Rome. The money will be split 50-50. Date and site is to be announced.
The first fight ended in a split draw with a wide disparity between the judges ranging from 116-112 Weiss and 117-111 Miguez with a 114-114 vote in between.

German super middleweight prospect Simon Zachenhuber (20-0) squares off against tough Frenchman Armen Yepremyan (14-3-2) June 24 in Rostock om P2M's big (13 fights on last count) show at the Town Hall.
At stake is the vacant IBF European title.

Italian lightweight Emiliano Marsii (42-0-1) now has British champ Gavin Gwynne (16-2-1) as co-challenger for the vacant EBU title.
Marsili was previously mandatory challenger for the then champ Denys Berinchyk but refused to go through with the defense of the title against 46-year-old veteran and was stripped of the title.
The EBU has set July 10 as the deadline for purse bids or agreements.

There was a time when the sun didn't set on the British Empire and being a professional boxer holding the Empire title was actually worth something. Then it became the Commonwealth title and it has gradually diminished in importance.
Now the Commonwealth Boxing Council might be merged with the World Boxing Council - and what it's worth then remains to be seen.
