Hungarian super welterweight Balazs Bacskai (15-0) defends the IBO Intercontinental title against Dutchman Xavier Kohlen (11-0) on April 29 in Budakalasz on a show promoted by New School Promotion.
Bacskai won the European championships as an amateur in 2010 but lost to Errol Spence in the Baku World Cup 2011. From then on Bacskai's amateur career went downhill but he did make it to the 2016 Olympics in Rio where he lost to Souleymane Cissokho.
The now 34-year Bacskai turned pro in 2017 and won the national championship in his first fight. He is ranked # 9 by the WBO.

Former WBA interim-champ at super middleweight, Vincent Feigenbutz (33-3) returns to action on April 16 in Munich (Germany) against Bosnian Kenan Catic (3-3-1).
Feigenbutz is no longer with Wasserman / Sauerland and is now promoted by Petko's Box Promotion. Still only 26, Vincent he held the WBA Interim title 2015-16 and challenged for the IBF title in 2020 but lost to Caleb Plant.

39-year old French heavyweight Cyril Leonet 17-11-1) won the national title when champ Nicolas Wamba (8-1) was forced to retire due to an injured arm Saturday night in Brive.
Leonet first fought for the national title in 2010 and won it the first time in 2015.

German heavyweight Tom Schwarz (27-1) knocked out once promising, now 41-years-old, Muhammed Ali Durmaz (32-31), in the first round Saturday night in Falkensee. Before the fight female activists demonstrated against Schwarz with words like "End male violence" on their bare upper bodies. This of course created big headlines in BILD.
Tom Schwarz was sentenced for assaulting his ex-girlfriend but got away with just a fine of 2,500 - a verdict that was described as a joke by some observers.
Schwarz is now trained by former IBF cruiserweight king Yoan Pablo Hernandez.
