Maki Boxing won today's purse bids in Rome for the vacant EBU lightweight title fight between Edis Tatli (32-3) and Gianluca Ceglia (17-3-1) with a bid for 45,001 Euro. Italian BBT (Buccione Boxing Team9 bid 42,500 Euro. Since it's a vacant title the split is 50/50.
Maki Boxing plans to stage the fight on March 12 in Finland - all depending on the development with Covid-19.
Tatli vs Ceglia has been postponed a number of times by now and was last on for December 11 in Helsinki.

The IBF eliminator for the # 1 position in their ratings at super middle between Russian boxer Evgeny Shvedenko (15-0) and American Caleb Truax (31-5-2) will now go ahead on January 22 in Karlsruhe (Germany).
Also scheduled for this big show staged by Facher Sports is a fight for the vacant EU heavyweight title between Jack Mulowayi (10-2-1) and Evginios Lazarides (17-3). Mulowayi, based in Belgium, comes in off a good win as he stopped big Russian Apti Davtaev (20-0-1 coming in) in his last fight.
Also on the bill is a fight between Karen Chukhadzhian (19-1) and Ryan Martin (14-2-1) with the vacant IBF I-C title at stake and Andrii Velikovskyi (19-2-2) take on German-based Dominican veteran Rafael Bejaran (29-5-1) for the IBO Intercontinental middleweight title.
Both Chukhadzhian and Velikovskyi hail from Ukraine but are now like Shvedenko fighting out of Karlsruhe.
