The EBU welterweight title remains vacant after Jordy Weiss, a local man, and Spaniard Jon Miguez (17-0-1) fought to a split draw in their fight last night in Laval (France).
Laval (now 30-0-1) was very disappointed afterwards and while no media reports the scorecards there appears to have been a big difference between the judges and how they scored it. A rematch will come.

Mexican Magali Rodriguez (22-6-4) retained the WBC Silver female super lightweight title last night in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, when she drew with French star and Olympic gold medal winner Estelle Mossely (11-0-1).
One judge had Mossely winning 96-93 while the other two had it 95-95.
It was a disappointing result for Mossely, who had hoped that a win would get her in a position to challenge the winner of next month's undisputed world title fight between Katie Taylor and Chantelle Cameron. Mossely is the wife of Olympic gold medalist Tony Yoka.

Good news from Italy: Daniel Scardina (20-1), who suffered a serious head injury on February 28 during a sparring session in the gym, has now left the hospital and will continue treatment in a rehabilitation center in the Lecce region. There is still a long way to go though, reports his brother on Instagram.
