EBU heavyweight champ Alexander Dimitrenko defends the title September 24 in Hamburg against British veteran Michael Sprott. Dimitrenko is of course looking forward to challenging for a world title - and winning it - but also wants to participate in the 2016 Olympic Games - something that will be possible if the AIBA gets their way and takes over professional boxing as they plan to. Alexander hails from Ukraine but is now a German citizen.

Former EBU welterweight champ "Sugar" Jackson Osei Bonsu returns to action September 30 in Gent and face George Ungiadze in a tuneup. If all goes well Jackson take on slick Frenchman Franck Harroche Horta November 11 in Deurne. This show is billed as "the Big Daddy Edition" as all of the hometeam fighters became fathers in the last couple of months. Osei Bonsu, now campaigning at jr middleweight, is also set to appear on the annual Christmas Day show in Izegem.

October 3 is the German national day and Troja Boxing Group celebrates with a mega-show - at least in quantity - in Eberswalde. There are 17 fights scheduled and the show begins at 3 pm. Headlining is jr middle Rico Mueller, who takes on Kenyan veteran Nasser Athumani, at one time a dangerous journeyman, for the IBO Int´l title. In the chief support former EBU welterweight king Michel Trabant looks to continue his comeback but against who isn´t clear yet. The Danish heayweight twins, Morten and Kasper Fruensgaard will both make their pro debuts that evening. The show is sanctioned by the GBA.

Frenchman Ali Hallab is indeed, as previously reported, out of the EU super bantamweight title against Spaniard Joaquin Cespedes. However, Hallab has been replaced by Cespedes´ compatriot Ivan Ruiz Morote and the fight is on for September 24 in Madrid with Rimer Boxe promoting.

As previously reported on krikya360.com, it will be Petr Petrov, from Russia but based in Spain throughout his pro career, that challenges WBA interim-junior welterweight champ Marcos Maidana on September 23 in Buenos Aires. Petrov scored a good win earlier this year in knocking out Angel Ramirez but he's never fought at this level before and mainly campaigned at junior lightweight or lightweight.
