French promoter Allstar Boxing was the winner at the purse bids for the right to stage the fight for the vacant EBU super welterweight title between Dylan Charrat (20-1-1) and Jama Saidi (21-2).
Allstar bid 77,797 Euro, which equals out to 84,450 USD - which is going to be split 50/50 between the boxers.
When and where is still to be announced.
The title became vacant when Kerman Lejarraga decided to go for bigger titles. Charrat was already the mandatory challenger while Saidi held the EU title.

EBU welterweight champ David Avanesyan is a Russian citizen but will still be able to defend the title on March 19 in London against Finn Oskari Metz. How can that be? Well, BoxingScene has learned that Avanesyan is based in the UK, fights with a Serbian license and is of Armenian origin - and the fight was scheduled before the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Right or wrong, the fight is on.

Danish heavyweight Kem Ljungquist (10-0) will fight in the Nordic Championships in Iceland late March - and then return to the pros and drop down to bridgerweight and fight Hungarian Laszlo Ivanyi (10-15-1) on April 14 in Nykobing Falster.
Ljungquist is ranked # 28 by the WBC at bridgerweight but has never fought at that before.

Jon Miguez (16-0) won the vacant EU title last night (March 11) in Oviedo, with a close unanimous decision over Aitor Nieto (25-8-1). It was scored 117-111, 116-112 and 114-114.
On the undercard there were two upsets as both super lightweight Jonathan Alonso (21-2) and Sergio Fernandez (11-2-1) lost to journeymen from Latin America in Luis Enrique Romero (10-5-1) and Jeffrey Rosales ((9-15-3) respectively.

In Konin, Poland, also March 11, featherweight Kamil Laszczyk (29-0) won a unanimous decision over Tanzanian Ismail Galiatano (10-3-3) Lascczyk was floored early in the fight but prevailed and won on scores of 97-93, 96-94 and 95-94.
On the undercard super middleweight Karol Welter (10-1) stopped Patrik Szymanski (21-5) in the seventh in what was a 50/50 fight with oddsmakers.

AGON Sports' big show in Berlin also went ahead last night and IBF # 2 jr middleweight Jack Culcay (30-4) came back with a win over Italian Khalil El Harraz (14-3-1).
In the main event IBF # 6 and IBF I-C junior middle champ Haro Matevosyan (15-0) retained the title with a points win over Venezuelan Johan Perez (27-10-2).

Late result: On March 5 in Vladimir, Russia, Vaginak Tamrazyan won the vacant IBA welterweight title with a clear points win over Mexican Dante Jardon.
This may be the last international title fight in Russia for some time.
