Heavyweight Agit Kabayel (22-0 or 24-2) relinquished his position as mandatory challenger for the vacant EBU title just ahead of today's purse bids in Rome. Co-challenger Umut Camkiran (18-0) from Turkey will now fight the highest ranked available challenger.
Who that is, is an interesting question. Camkiran was ranked # 10 when he got the chance after Tony Yoka had lost to Martin Bakole. He is relatively unknown, has no wins against any "names" but at the same time is a heavy handed dangerman and is thus a man the "names" want to avoid in order not to risk anything.
