It has been reported in the Finnish press that former EBU Heavyweight Champion Erkan Teper failed a post-fight drug test after knocking out Britain's David Price in two rounds back in July.
Teper was due to fight Robert Helenius, last weekend, however pulled out due to injury leaving the Finn to fight for the vacant title against Franz Rill. A bout which 'The Nordic Nightmare' won over a 12 round a unanimous decision.
If the allegations of doping are true Teper could face a potential ban. It also has repercussions regarding David Price as the bout may be considered a no contest, possibly breathing new confidence into the career of the Liverpool heavyweight.

UPDATE: Reports in Germany also suggest that Teper is under investigation from local authorities for unlawful possession of doping substances such as Methandrostenolone, testosterone and growth hormone after the drugs were found during a recent raid.
If the allegations against Teper are true it puts his boxing career in serious jeopardy. Teper may also face criminal prosecution if allegations of being in possession and distributing illegal substances are proven.
