Former four division world champion Erik Morales (52-9, 36KOs) is training for what might be the final fight of his career, when he faces Jorge Paez Jr. (37-4-1, 22KOs) on March 22 at Arena Monterrey in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The most important aspect in training that Morales is working on, is speed, to keep up with the younger boxer. If Morales is successful, he wants to face a major opponent in the fall and then announce his retirement.

"Obviously I need compete in every technical aspect. Power is another priority, but without a doubt I'm working a lot on speed. I would like to give the people a good show. We have been training properly, but it is no longer at the pace it was in the past. I have to do things based on what my body is asking of me, but I am sure that with this work I am going to do well," Morales said.
