2012 London light heavyweight gold medalist Egor Mekhontsev (7-0, 6 KOs) will make his ring return on March 14 in Los Angeles, California, according to his manager Vadim Kornilov. Mekhontsev will fight an ever dangerous TBA.

“The opponent is being selected right now”, said Kornilov to TASS.

Mekhontsev last fought on Nov. 28 against Ugandan Joey Vegas (17-9-1, 10 KOs), winning a unanimous decision – his first fight going the distance.
