Jarrell Miller can at least take credit for getting Daniel Dubois to open up more than he has for any other fight.

The former title challenger normally has little to say in public but has been quite vocal when in the presence of Brooklyn’s Miller. The two met up upon arriving in Riyadh and immediately picked up where they left off last month at the kickoff press conference.

“Trust me bro. Ten times out of ten you get knocked out,” Miller said as he saw Dubois and his team. “I’m not Usyk. I’m not Joe Joyce. I’m gonna put you to sleep.”

The comment did not go unchecked.

“I’m gonna knock you out,” insisted Dubois in an immediate response. “I’m putting YOU to sleep.”

Miller and Dubois collide this weekend in a scheduled twelve-round heavyweight contest as part of Saturday’s super show at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Both fighters are presented with a must-win scenario. Miller (26-0-1, 22KOs) may be unbeaten but remains on a redemption tour while still in search of a career-defining win. He has won three in a row since his return last June after an eighteen-month suspension for his second consecutive drug scandal.

One thing that Miller has not forgotten how to do is irritate the hell out of his opponents outside the ring.

London’s Dubois (19-2, 18KOs) has already endured his fill of the brash American. The normally reserved Brit has offered a response to nearly all of Miller’s trash talk, and insists the back-and-forth will only further fuel his motivation to win in spectacular fashion.

“You’re going to sleep,” vowed Dubois, who suffered a ninth-round knockout defeat to WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titlist Oleksandr Usyk on August 26 in Wroclaw, Poland. “Talk is cheap. Saturday night.”
