In Australia, former IBF middleweight champion Sam Soliman (46-14-1, 19 KOs) finished up his career with a twelve round unanimous decision over Mark Lucas (9-2, 3 KOs) at the Melbourne Pavillion, Flemington, Victoria.

Soliman had few issues, clearly outboxing Lucas over the course the fight. It was Soliman's first win in two years time.

The three judges had scores of 120-108, 118-110, 118-110.

Soliman, now 45-years-old, last saw the world stage when he was demolished in two rounds back in 2016 at the hands of Sergiy Derevyanchenko. That was his third loss in a row after dropping bouts to Jermain Taylor and Dominic Wade.

Soliman's career high point was when he shocked Felix Sturm for the IBF title in a big upset in 2014.

Over in Germany, European light heavyweight champion Dominic Boesel (29-1, 11 KOs) picked up an eighth round stoppage over Timy Shala (23-3-1, 9 KOs) at the Erdgas Arena in Halle.

Boesel was landing the harder punches all night, dropping Shala in round seven and then finished him off in the eight when the referee had seen enough. Shala was a late substitution after Orial Kolaj withdrew with injury.

Hot heavyweight prospect Peter Kadiru (2-0, 1 KO) picked up his second win and his first by knockout, by putting away Vincenzo Febbo (3-1, 2 KOs) in the fourth round.
