Holstebro, Denmark - WBO bantamweight queen Dina Thorslund 20-0) added the WBC title to her connection with a unanimous decision over Mexican Yuliahn Avila Luna (25-4-1).
Thorslund was relentless in her pressure and Luna couldn't keep her away. It was scored 97-93, 99-91 and 98-92 in a fast paced fight with no highlights. Luna had her moments in the early rounds but Thorslund upped the pace and was a clear winner at the end.
Super middleweight Jacob Bank (11-0) had no problems with late sub Almir Skriijelj from (18-6) from Montenegro who was counted out standing 32 seconds into the second round of a scheduled eight-rounder. Bank outboxed his opponent from the beginning and floored him early in the second with a right uppercut. Skrijelj got up but when caught again he sat down for another count and this time the referee counted ten and out.
Brazilian super middleweight Herbert Sousa (5-0) was much too good for Pole Robert Talarek (27-22-3) and floored him twice in the second for a stoppage at 1.35. Talarek is a decent fighter while Sousa, who won gold at the 2021 Olympics shows the skills of a future star,
English super middleweight Brook Eaton made her pro debut against Czech journeywoman Ester Konecna (3-23-1). Eaton looked strong but could never get to her opponent. After four it was scored 40-36 twice and 39-37.
Danish lightweight Payman Akbari (8-1-2) won a unanimous decision over Italian Pietro Caputo (2-3) in a messy six-rounder. The two judges and the scoring referee scored it 60-53 and 59-54 twice. Caputo had a point deducted in the fourth for punching after break, Akbari fights as if he is gun-shy and is more of a shadow boxer than a prize fighter but he got the job done.
Irish super welterweight Steven Cairns moved to 6-0 by stopping Polish Marian Wieslowski (3-8-1) at 15 seconds in the second round of a scheduled six-rounder. Wieslowski held his own in the first but got caught early in the second and fell into ropes. The referee gave him a count and then stopped it with the official result announced as a knockout.
Featherweight Nezar Kunduzi (2-0) outscored Davit Shervashidze (3-16-1) from the Georgian Republic over four. It was scored 40-36 on all cards.
'In the show opener featherweight Mikkel Gribsholt (2-0) knocked out Georgian Bacho Jincharadze (2-7) at 2.30 of the fourth and final round. Gribsholt dominated the action throughout and looked good. Jincharadze was brave but outgunned.
