Former champion Julio Diaz is the fighter only to share the ring with both Shawn Porter (24-0-1, 15KOs) and Keith Thurman (23-0-1, 21KOs).
Later tonight, Porter will have a tough nut to crack when he defends his IBF title against mandatory challenger Kell Brook (32-0, 22KOs), as the main event of a Showtime televised tripleheader from the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
Diaz went to a to a draw with Porter the first time, but was outboxed in the rematch. Thurman blew Diaz away without much trouble in three rounds.
Over the last few months, a number of fans were demanding to see a fight between Porter and Thurman.
krikya360.com caught up with Diaz, who fought them both, to see which fighter would have the advantage if they fought right now.
"I think I would give the edge, and it's literally an edge, to Shawn Porter - just because of his style, his defense, and just his stance...he's not an easy target. Thurman is very dangerous, very powerful....but with that he exposes [himself] a lot. I think Porter has the upper hand right now. He's more comfortable on the big stage. He's a world champion right now. He's growing and he's getting better. I think Thurman makes more mistakes right now," Diaz told krikya360.com
