World-ranked Heavyweight contender Derric Rossy (25-2, 14 KO) is getting ready for his IBF eliminator showdown with Eddie Chambers (35-2, 18 KO) on February 11th at Bally's Atlantic City.  During his training, it was brought to his attention that Tomas Adamek's negotiations with Sam Peter have hit a stand-still and now Adamek is in talks with the Klitschko's to face Wladimir in September.  After hearing the news, the normally soft-spoken Rossy had quite a bit to say about his upcoming fight and his thoughts on the Heavyweight division.

"First off, I'd like to thank Eddie for agreeing to fight me again, as well as the IBF for giving me the opportunity to fight for the #1 ranking.  On February 11th, I will prove to the world that I am worthy of this challenge and I am the future of the Heavyweight division.  I also respect Eddie for his willingness to fight another ranked fighter to earn a title shot, because all I see around me is a bunch of guys who get title shots just by calling people out or by fighting soft-touches.

"So here's my offer, Tomas: once I take care of this unfinished business I have with Eddie Chambers in February, why don't you keep that April 16th date in Poland so I can come and put my #1 ranking on the line to fight you.  That's right, I'm willing to risk my ranking for the good of boxing to show that only the best deserve to fight for a title.  I understand my promoter already spoke to your promoter, Ziggy Rozalski, and it's already been discussed that we'd take the same deal you offered Sam Peter.  I've been trying to get a fight with you since you asked me to not come back to your training camp after we sparred; I'd love to show the world exactly why you asked me not to come back.  We know you want to give the proud Polish fans whom you represent nothing but the best, so why not face the best American Heavyweight contender?"
