GBM Sports’ promotion on June 29 at the Skydome in Coventry, England, will be the first of its broadcast agreement with DAZN.
Prominent among those the streaming service already work with are Matchroom and Golden Boy Promotions, but GBM – overseen by retired heavyweight Izzy Asif – represent a small-hall, British promotional organisation that will benefit from what has been described as a “multi-fight deal”. Not dissimilarly, DAZN recently started working with Salita Promotions, in the US.
Tyson Fury’s cousin Hughie, also a professional heavyweight, is on course to fight on July 29, as is Irish welterweight Kieran Molloy.
“This partnership with DAZN marks a pivotal moment for GBM Sports,” said Asif. “We are thrilled to bring our high-quality boxing content to a wider audience through DAZN’s extensive platform.
“This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, and we are committed to delivering top-tier sports entertainment for fans worldwide.”
