David Allen will be back in the ring in a few weeks.
The heavyweight, who was last in action at the O2 Arena in London last month, has had his next fight confirmed.
Allen (11-2-1, 8 KOs) took to Twitter to reveal that he would have his third fight of 2017, since losing to Luis Ortiz in Manchester last December, on a Sky Sports-screened card.
He will fight an opponent to be named over the six- or eight-round distance at the ECHO Arena in Liverpool, as part of the undercard to Martin Murray’s middleweight match-up against Gabriel Rosado.
The 25-year-old, from Conisbrough, Yorkshire, will share the bill with a tussle for the vacant British super-middleweight title between Rocky Fielding and John Ryder as well as the return of Sean Dodd in a defence of his WBC International lightweight title.

Boxing Scene understands that, with a victory on the Liverpool card later this month, Allen will be added to the undercard of Kell Brook’s IBF welterweight world title defence against Errol Spence on May 27 at Bramall Lane in Sheffield, exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office.
In other news, Nathan Wheatley will get the chance to fight for a title next month.
