New York - Carlos Cuadras (35-1-1, 27 KO’s) made a name for himself on HBO last year when he took the consensus number 1 pound for pound fighter in the world, Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez (45-0, 38 KO’s), to depths we have never seen before.

Although he lost his WBC super flyweight title, Cuadras made more fans in defeat. The two are paired in separate bouts on the televised portion of the HBO Pay-Per-View undercard to the Gennady Golovkin vs. Daniel Jacobs collision taking place inside Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.

The plan for Cuadras is to defeat David Carmona (20-3-5, 8 KO’s)  and then get his revenge against Gonzalez.

“The WBC ordered for us to fight again if we both win,” Cuadras told krikya360.com via his translator and trainer Rudy Hernandez..  “It’s motivation because I want the revenge against Chocolatito.”

Cuadras feels like Gonzalez does not want any part of the rematch, so he has taken to twitter and began a campaign of poking fun at Chocolatito to try and entice him to agree to a rematch.

“He (Gonzalez) said that he wanted the rematch immediately, I thought he did,” explained Cuadras. “And then he didn’t and that's why I call him Choco Rajas. So he’s backing away from our fight.I think he’s scared. He doesn’t want to look bad in front of his people of Nicaragua. He knows I hit hard.”

Gonzalez moved up in weight to fight Cuadras and has mentioned moving up from 115 to 118 in the near future. Cuadras makes it clear that no matter where Gonzalez goes, he intends to follow him.

“If he has trouble making weight, it's no problem - I  will follow him to 118 or heavyweight to fight him,” stated Cuadras.

In the rematch Cuadras will go for the knockout especially if Gonzalez is on the downside of his career.

“The second fight will be different,” stated the former super flyweight champion. “My plan will be to win by knockout and not leave it in the hands of the judges. He has a tough fight Saturday. He has a fighter that hits hard in front of him, Chocolatito doesn’t hit hard. If he is on the downside of his career, it’s better for me, I’ll bury him easier.”

Gonzalez fights mandatory challenger Srisaket Sor Rungvisa (41-4-1, 38 KOs) as the co-main event to Golovkin-Jacobs.
