On December 11, Christian “Solide” Mbilli (19-0, 18 KOs) could take a significant step forward in his career when he faces Ronald “Akeem” Ellis (18-2-2, 12 KOs) for the WBC Continental Americas super middleweight title. The duel, which will be presented by A&H Boxing and Capital Punishment Boxing Club in association with Eye of the Tiger Management and La Queen, will be held at the Zembo Shrine Auditorium in Harrisburg, Pa.

“I am very motivated to return to fight in the United States against an opponent of Ronald Ellis’ caliber. I am ready to deliver quite a performance to the spectators and I intend to send a serious message to the rest of the super middleweight division,” said Mbilli, who is currently ranked at 13 by the WBC.

The bout will serve as the main event of the evening and will also feature starring Thomas Chabot (5-0, 5 KOs), Alexandre Gaumont (2-0, 1 KO.) as well as twins Angel (3-0, 3 KOs) and Antonio ( 2-0, 1 K.-O.) Perez.

This is an important duel for Mbilli since a victory could propel him into the top 10 at 168-pounds and thus bring him closer to a world championship fight.

Ellis, who has served as Saul "Canelo" Alvarez's training partner in preparation for his clash with Caleb Plant, has a wealth of professional experience. He offered a solid performance in his bouts against David Benavidez last March and DeAndre Ware, in addition to having defeated the double amateur world champion, Matvey Korobov.
