The World Boxing Association's "super" champion at bantamweight, Panamanian Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (34-2-1) will see action on a date in late February in Panama, according to his wife and manager Rouss Laguna and empowered. Chemito was ordered to fight Japan's Koki Kameda, who held the WBA's "regular" title at the weight. But last week Kameda vacated his title and told the WBA that he wouldn't take part in their mandatory purse bid. The change of heart by Kameda has twisted around the future plans of Chemito.

"In the coming hours I will meet with promoter Sampson Lewkowicz, who is already already in Panama and our team of advisors will make a final decision on how my husband will recover the time he lost while waiting for Kameda," said Russ.

One of their options include contacting the directors of Golden Boy Promotions to propose Chemito as a future opponent for Mexico's Leo Santa Cruz (25-0-1), who defends the WBC super bantamweight title on Saturday against Cesar Seda.
