In a very odd twist, former world bantamweight champion Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (35-3-1, 12KOs) is now denying that he's going through a divorce with his wife Rouss Laguna, who also serves as his boxing manager and advisor. They were married in 2010.

Moreno, who has been out of the ring since the six round technical decision loss to Juan Carlos Payano last September, announced he was going through a divorce with his wife on his social network accounts on Tuesday night.

He now says it was some weird ploy against his enemies.

"My marriage is going extremely well. Me and my wife have never made a decision to separate. She loves me and I love her," Moreno said.

Moreno says he is training for his next ring return, possibly on a March date in the UK.
