Super featherweight prospect Carlos "El Tete" Rosario looks to improve his professional record to 4-0 tonight in Philadelphia when he takes on Jonuel Hernandez who is making his professional debut.
The fight takes place at The Fillmore on the Avery Sparrow-William Foster undercard that is being presented by Hard Hitting Promotions. Christian Tapia takes on Mario Sayal Lozano in the co-feature bout.
"We took this fight out of our weight class at 135 pounds in order to stay active. The plan is to put on a good show for all of the fans in Philadelphia and in Puerto Rico," Rosario's manager Rudy Vargas told krikya360.com.
"We want to move Carlos fast. His style is perfect for the pro ranks. We want to stay busy and the plan is for him to fight 3 more times this year after this fight."
The 26-year-old Puerto Rican prospect made his pro debut in November when he outpointed Pete Vital in Florida. He followed that up with 2 knockout wins in February.
In the main event, Sparrow (11-3) has one more opportunity to stay relevant if he can upset the unbeaten Foster (14-0). Sparrow scored a career best victory over Hank Lundy in 2019 but then suffered back to back losses to Abraham Nova and Rolando Romero. He has since picked up a victory versus Matt Conway.
