Mexican coach Eddy Reynoso, who works closely with world champions Canelo Alvarez and Oscar Valdez, has announced that he will raffle off a car to help Mexican boxer Felipe 'Gallito' Orucuta, who is recovering from a surgery for a cerebral clot suffered on June 7.

According to ESPN Deportes, Reynoso hopes to raise 500 thousand pesos ($26,300).

Reynoso bought a car with a value of 250 thousand pesos, which he will donate to sell a thousand tickets (at 500 pesos) so that the boxing community or whoever else wants to help Orucuta, can acquire them. 

The president of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Mauricio Sulaiman, started a support campaign for 'Gallito' Orucuta, through his social networks, which consists of some Mexican and international boxing figures sending good wishes and prayers for Felipe and encouragement to his family. Some of the names taking part include Pipino Cuevas, Miguel Berchelt, Lupita Martinez, 'Chiquita' Gonzalez, Julio César Chávez and Julio César Chávez Jr.

Before this campaign, Eddy Reynoso decided to buy a 2019 vehicle with a value of 250 thousand pesos, with the hope that all of the tickets are bought and 500 thousand pesos cane be given to Orucuta and his family.

The Mexican fighter is home after more than three weeks of being hospitalized after the emergency that led him to be transferred from Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, to Uruapan, Michoacán, and later he was admitted to the María José Roma Hospital of the City of Mexico.

Orucuta, who is 33 years old, has a professional record of 36 -6 and 30 knockouts.
