WBC/WBA junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) is feeling very confident after traveling from city to city with Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs), as they have one more stop on their long promotional tour. Canelo is going to face Mayweather Jr. on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Canelo says he is a better and more dangerous opponent than former champions Robert Guerrero, Victor Ortiz and Miguel Cotto - who Mayweather recently fought and beat.

"Mayweather is difficult. He's the world's best pound for pound fighter, and the most difficult opponent of my career. He had his time in boxing and this is my time. Mayweather is a very smart fighter. I am young, strong and fast. Lots of people base my chances of victory on my power, but I see myself as a fast fighter, a boxer who thinks in the ring. I adapt to the styles of each opponent. Obviously every opinion is respected. Everyone has different opinions," Canelo said.

"Every opponent that he's faced has been different. Roberto Guerrero and Victor Ortiz are not like me. Miguel Cotto is not the same anymore. Miguel was great, but he was not in his prime when he faced Mayweather. I am 22 and soon I'll be 23.  Floyd is 36. But I don't think our ages will influence the fight. Cotto gave him in trouble, and so did Jose Luis Castillo and Oscar de la Hoya. But penetrating his guard is very difficult. I plan to win anyway possible. If I see an opening where I can knock him out, I'll take it. I'm going in there with the mentality of a good game plan and if a knockout happens, then it happens."
