Bryant Jennings is coming off a defeat at the hands of heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, which took place on April 25th at the Madison Square Garden in New York. While 'By By' lost, it was a game effort that raised his stock.
Moving forward, his promoter Gary Shaw told krikya360.com - "He trains every day, there's going to be a switch in trainers to my understanding and I'm working with HBO to bring him back roughly in October, November, December, that time frame."
Jennings, who is currently 19-1 (10 KO's), was under the guidance of Fred Jenkins in the corner.
Shaw did mention something interesting:
"I did get a call from a representative of Alexander Povetkin - and I have not heard back - about bringing Bryant back to Russia."
Povetkin recently blew out Mike Perez in one round to secure his position as the mandatory challenger in the WBC to Deontay Wilder.
"So I was a little perplexed by the call," admitted Shaw. 'Aand it was a legitimate call but as I said - I have not heard back. It was probably about ten days ago so I don't know what Povetkin's plans are."
