British junior middleweight champion Brian Rose (22-1-1, 6KOs) made a third successful defense with a twelve round unanimous decision over former beltholder Sam Webb (18-3) in Blackpool. It was Rose's fourth win of 2012, after beating Vivian Harris, Kris Carslaw and Max Maxwell since January.
Againt Webb, he was more effective in the early going and landed the harder punches. He took his foot off the gas in the middle rounds, allowing Webb to gain some confidence, but regained control in the championship rounds. The scores were 116-112, 116-112 and 116-113.
