With action from Heavyweight to Flyweight, boxing fans were treated to a solid weekend.  Drama abounded with controversy in spots and big time action throughout.  Several men earned their way into the ratings this week and, with only ten per class, others had to go.

This is the BoxingScene ratings update.

Heavyweight: This was a big shakeup weekend.  Vyacheslav Glazkov’s win over Tomasz Adamek gets him into the top ten, but can we forget that Glazkov was highly fortunate to get a draw against Malik Scott three fights ago?  Scott was also unfortunate in getting some bad luck on the count in a stoppage loss to Dereck Chisora.  Saturday, a single left hand from Deontay Wilder did him in (it was the left, not the right, as replays showed).  With that in mind, Wilder also enters the top ten and Chisora should stay.  That leaves Mike Perez and Bryant Jennings to exit with Adamek hanging on at the bottom of the top ten.

Jr. Welterweight: Danny Garcia escaped with the title but Mauricio Herrera took him to the brink.  Herrera enters the top ten, but what of Karim Mayfield who beat Herrera in 2012?  Consider him next out as Dierry Jean exits the top ten.

Jr. Lightweight: Will Tomlinson’s loss on March 8th see him exit from the 8 spot.  Into the top ten is Daiki Kaneko.  Kaneko gave #1 Takashi Uchiyama a rumble last year.  Sergio Thompson also exits after making a clear move to Lightweight.  That makes room for Miguel Berchelt.

Featherweight: Daniel Ponce De Leon lost on a somewhat controversial call one division up. While not enough to remove him at 126, he drops a few slots.

Flyweight: Moruti Mthalane returns from inactivity to the number two slot.  This forces Milan Melindo out of the ratings.  Of note, everyone rated at Flyweight is a current of former titlist.  With Kazuto Ioka soon to arrive, this division is of a special class in boxing.
