MGM Grand, Las Vegas - In a WBO final lightweight eliminator, Raymundo Beltran (29-6-1, 17KOs) dominated the action to win a twelve unanimous decision over Arash Usmanee (20-2-1, 10KOs). The scores were 118-110, 117-111, 117-111. Usmanee was a late replacement for Roman "Rocky" Martinez, who withdrew with an illness. Beltran is likely heading to a fight with WBO lightweight champion Terence Crawford in the summer.

Beltan's size and advatage in power was becoming evident by the third round. Usmanee's entire body was being pushed back by the force of Beltran's punches. Usmanee was not big enough or strong enough to earn Beltran's respect. Beltran was coming forward all night and for the most part he was walking right through Usmanee's offense. Even when Usmanee tried to stick and move, Beltran was very good at cutting off the ring to land his punches.
